Advert description
I am a History graduate from the University of Cambridge, offering tailored support for both GCSE and A-Level students. History can sometimes feel like a subject full of dates and detail to memorise, but I believe the key to success lies in understanding the bigger picture and learning how to think like a historian. My lessons are designed to make the subject engaging, manageable, and directly relevant to exam success.
For GCSE students, I focus on building strong foundations: clear understanding of key events and themes, improved source analysis skills, and step-by-step guidance on structuring answers to meet exam requirements. For A-Level students, my emphasis is on developing sophisticated essay technique, handling interpretations questions with confidence, and learning how to construct arguments that are analytical, well-evidenced, and examiner-friendly.
Each lesson is adapted to the student’s needs – whether that’s breaking down complex topics into digestible parts, going through practice essays together, or developing revision strategies that actually work. My approach is interactive, supportive, and aimed at building both knowledge and confidence. I want students to leave sessions not just with stronger grades in sight, but with a sense of enjoyment for the subject and the ability to approach it with independence.
