Teaching Kids Maths for GCSE and below (KS3)

Hello, my name is Jomi and I aspire to study Aeronautical Engineering at Oxbridge. I am currently studying 4 A-Levels at Sixth Form. (Further Maths, Maths, Physics and Chemistry). I achieved an easy grade 9 at GCSE level and I am currently working at an A* in Mathematics for A-Level. I believe that although Mathematics can be very difficult for people to grasp, it can be understood by everyone in different ways. I’ve been teaching year 11 students at my school for over 6 months, in which I have been enlightened as to how different pupils learn in different ways and not only that but they have also given me the opportunity to learn myself and further progress my level of understanding. I have very strong core values and believe that with hard work anything can be achieved. I also believe I would be able to relate with young minds given the fact that I have just completed GCSE’s and furthermore, it would be easier for a student to relate with another student rather than an adult as they would be able to understand the day to day life. I actively believe in equality and treating others the way I would wish to be treated. Furthermore, what sets me apart from other candidates is the fact I am willing to go above and beyond to achieve mine and my students’ goals, even if it means I have to sacrifice extra time to maximise they’re full potential.
