Let's discuss psychology

Psychology is one discipline that we humans are ingrained with since our birth. A child instinctively knows when to smile, cry and remain rigid. I was enamoured by the subject while pursuing my PGDBA and my love for the subject deepened as I took up more certifications in various disciplines, including social psychology and developmental psychology.

I did various courses online and also read the leading authors on the subject. The book on Psychology by Zimbardo and Weber was one of the best that I laid my hands on.
I also read Social Psychology by Myers, books by Martin Seligman, Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi, Dan Ariely, Daniel Kahneman, and many others.

I love reading all kinds of books, including science, history, and languages. The field of psychology has borrowed a lot from a lot of other fields especially Neuroscience and my studies into Neuroanatomy and Neuromarketing helped me understand how the applications of psychological principles bring about such a great positive change in people and organizations.

We all have heard of how the training and development of employees in various organizations are made more effective with the use of psychology and the principle of organizational behaviour. With my 15 years of corporate learning and development experience, I was able to use these principles to bring about a marked improvement in individual and team effectiveness. Principles like anchoring, groupthink, motivation, personality, are used even in negotiation and thus psychology has been able to further widen its reach.

I will be thrilled to be able to help out anyone with my limited knowledge and expereince.
