My lessons are friendly, structured and tailored to each student’s individual goals. I aim to make psychology feel clear and manageable, breaking down difficult theories and research into straightforward explanations and real-world examples.
A typical lesson usually begins with a quick check-in on what you’re currently studying and anything you’ve found difficult. We’ll then work through the topic together using discussion, active recall, practice questions and examples, before finishing with a short recap and clear next steps.
For GCSE and A-Level students, I place a strong emphasis on exam technique, including how to structure answers, develop evaluation points, apply knowledge and understand what examiners are looking for. For undergraduate students, sessions can focus on areas such as research methods, critical thinking, essay planning, understanding feedback and developing academic skills.
I am currently a PhD researcher in Mental Health and Health Psychology so understand fundamentals of essay writing, dissertation work, statistical analysis and presentations. I hold a BSc in Psychology and an MSc in Clinical Psychology and have experience tutoring and supporting students across GCSE, A-Level and university study. My teaching style is patient and encouraging, and I’m always happy to explain something in a different way until it makes sense.I have extensive experience in teaching disabled students and SENMH so I make sure to always adopt an individualised approach and focus on the student and how they learn best.
Most lessons are 60 minutes and delivered online, with the content adapted to your level, exam board, current topics and individual learning needs.
