Experienced Maths tutor for children from year 7 to year 13

I am a final year Economics student at the University of Leeds with a track record of exceptional academic achievement. I am a keen cricketer and footballer and have played both sports since a very young age, as well as being a junior football referee for a few years during high school. I have two years of experience in online tutoring. I previously worked for MyTutor as part of a governmental scheme where I taught both Maths and English to underprivileged children. I found the role incredibly enjoyable and rewarding and am looking to contribute my knowledge and expertise to inspire and guide students in their academic journey.

I aim for my lessons to be both engaging and stretching, and to help build the confidence of my students, as they realise their potential to grasp complex concepts. I am an approachable and patient individual, which has previously helped me bring strong relationships with students from a variety of backgrounds and helped them feel comfortable in asking questions and making mistakes. I tailor my lessons to students of all abilities, and try my best to encourage critical thinking and problem solving, to prepare them for the classroom and beyond.
