Advert description
I am a British-qualified teacher from the Manchester Metropolitan University with a PGCE and a CELTA-qualified teacher with National Curriculum experience, specialising in English language (ESOL) for primary and secondary in two UK local authorities, East Sussex and Stockport, and a Spanish (fluent) speaker with the qualification to teach from the Instituto Cervantes London. I can also teach PSHE and Citizenship and have delivered sessions in schools, Youth Councils, and Pupil Referral Units in London and trained curriculum leads. I have worked in education for over 25 years as a primary teacher and secondary (ESOL) in local authorities. As an English language specialist, I have worked as a Year 2 and Year 5 primary teacher in the UK and abroad for the Spanish Ministry of Education and British Council, so I am a fluent Spanish speaker and can teach Spanish. I also ran an after-school Spanish language club for adults and children in Bromley. I am also a Prevent, FBV, and equality advisor/trainer and safeguarding specialist for Calderdale and Lewisham. I have also trained youth councils and youth services. I can mentor and coach and have a wonderful rapport with young people in groups, one-to-one or whole class settings.
