I am a patient, approachable, and well-organised tutor with strong communication skills, a Level 5 Diploma in Teaching English as a Foreign Language, and four years of experience working with 15–18-year-olds in supported living. In this role, I developed the ability to support young people with diverse needs, helping them build confidence, independence, and essential life skills in a structured and supportive environment. I have a strong understanding of how to adapt my approach to suit different learning styles and can explain concepts clearly and practically. My lessons are aimed at learners who want to improve their English and develop key life skills for everyday situations, education, or work, particularly those who may need additional guidance or confidence-building. I use a student-focused teaching approach, beginning by assessing each learner’s level, needs, and goals, and then planning tailored sessions that combine clear explanations with interactive activities and real-life scenarios. I focus on building practical communication skills, problem-solving, and independence, while creating a supportive environment where students feel comfortable engaging, asking questions, and progressing at their own pace.
