I use the communicative method, so students speak from the very first minute. Lessons are built around topics that interest them, from current global issues to their own goals and work. I give clear, constructive feedback after every session and set goals for the next one. I teach grammar through conversation. I stress repetition and encourage students to build as many sentences as possible from each new word. Before each class, I assign a short writing task on a set topic, and students send it to me in advance. In class, we focus on natural conversation.
