I am a patient, approachable and enthusiastic tutor with a First-Class degree in Biomedical Engineering from King’s College London

Advert description
I have a First-Class degree in Biomedical Engineering from King’s College London and will soon begin an MSc at Imperial College London. My studies developed strong skills in mathematics, problem-solving and explaining technical ideas clearly. I also have over three years of experience as a Coding Tutor at Code Ninjas, teaching children aged 9–11 and adapting lessons to different abilities. I will teach by first identifying the student’s strengths, difficulties and goals. I will then explain each topic in clear steps, use worked examples and give the student guided practice before moving on to independent questions. I will adapt the pace of each lesson, revisit weak areas when needed and use exam-style questions to build confidence and improve technique.

My lessons are structured, supportive and adapted to each student’s level and goals. I begin by identifying any gaps in understanding, then explain concepts clearly using worked examples before guiding the student through practice questions independently.

I focus on helping students understand the reasoning behind each method rather than simply memorising steps. Lessons can include topic teaching, exam-style questions, revision planning, homework support and targeted preparation for upcoming tests.

I have a first-class degree in Biomedical Engineering from King’s College London and will be studying an MSc at Imperial College London. My background includes advanced mathematics, programming, physics, biology and engineering, as well as previous experience teaching coding to younger students. I aim to create a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and building confidence.
