ABOUT ME
Hi, I’m Dias. I am a gap-year student currently preparing to study Materials Science at the University of Oxford. I started tutoring simply because I love helping my peers grasp tricky concepts and feel confident in their abilities.
Maths can feel intimidating, especially when you're not sure how to start a question or feel like you've fallen behind. My goal is to make maths feel more manageable and help you build confidence step by step. I aim to create a space where you feel comfortable asking questions, work through mistakes, and develop a clearer understanding of the subject.
MY TUTORING EXPERIENCE
- Action Tutoring: Current volunteer tutor delivering structured Maths sessions to Year 7 pupils.
- In-School Support: Spent two months assisting teachers in GCSE classrooms, supporting both lower-set Year 11 pupils and top-set Year 11 Further Maths students.
MY TUTORING STYLE
To tailor our lessons, I will ask about your school year, exam board, current level, and target goals. From there, we focus on what you need most:
1. Understanding: Mastering core formulas and concepts.
2. Problem-Solving: Tackling trickier, higher-mark questions.
3. Consistency: Building exam time management and past-paper confidence.
