History and Politics Tutor, teaching A LEVEL and GCSE Students

Advert description
I am currently studying History and Politics of the Americas with a Year Abroad BA at the University College London, the 8th best university in the world as ranked by QS and first in the UK for American Studies.

As a previous student who did both History and Politics at A level, my methods of learning have been proven not only through words, but by my results. My skills in learning had gained me a thorough understanding of both subjects. Understanding the UK and US politics was a key focal point of my study, and will help any pupil who is to study the same area. Within History, I had studied the Crusades, Russian History and the Tudors. Nevertheless, the methods in which I remembered key facts and arguments are applicable to any period of history. Such results have been proven by my grades in which I achieved an A* in Politics and an A in History.

Since then, my skills have only developed further as I have moved on to university,
My study into my degree requires an in depth and complex approach to both History and Politics. It demands that the multifaceted array of intellectual skills are to be utilised to maximise my understanding of the subjects at hand.

Through the gained experiences, my ability to tutor will be backed by a solid sense of confidence established within myself through my past experiences of being an Army Cadet, in which I had instructed and taught many lessons to younger cadets. Despite this being outside of the world of academia, my ability to interact and produce positive outcomes through my teaching had only proven successful, as I witnessed the younger cadets absorb information through a varied set of teaching methods tought to me as I gained seniority.

This ability to instruct a body of cadets would therefore assist in my tutoring skills, which is made easier by the fact that my attention will be focused upon one individual.

My acquired academic knowledge on the subjects combined with my developed method of teaching, is a highly valuable asset that would massively benefit any student who wishes to get the top grades in their exams. I have been there before as an A Level and GCSE student, and although I know what had worked for me and what didnt, my ability to tailor my tutoring to the pupil's own strengths and weaknesses will only enhance their skills in their subjects further.

I also offer online lessons.
