Highly Experienced A-Level Chemistry & GCSE Science Teacher & Examiner offering Group and 1-2-1 Tuition

I studied Chemistry at Imperial College London, where I completed a Master’s degree (MSci). With over 10 years of tutoring experience, I have worked with students across a variety of exam boards and specifications (AQA, Edexcel, OCR-A and OCR-B). At A level, I have supported many students in achieving their future ambitions, including securing university offers and places on highly competitive courses such as medicine.

Alongside tutoring, I have over 10 years’ experience as a specialist examiner with OCR, marking a wide range of AS and A level Chemistry exam papers. This gives me a clear insight into exactly what examiners are looking for and how students can refine their exam technique to maximise marks.

For one-to-one tuition, my approach is fully tailored to the individual. This begins with an initial telephone consultation, followed by the first lesson where I use questioning and assessment to establish a student’s working level. For group tuition, lessons are adapted to the needs of the group, based on information gathered in the consultation.

As an experienced teacher with over 15 years in the classroom, I draw on proven pedagogical approaches to ensure that every session is structured effectively, engaging, and designed to facilitate maximum progress.

In addition to well-structured lessons, I provide all resources and offer guidance on how to improve independent study. My extensive resource bank includes PowerPoint presentations, past paper question booklets, practice worksheets, and revision booklets, all of which are shared with my students.

My fees start at £20–25 per hour for group tuition and £70 per hour for bespoke one-to-one tuition.
