I am a First Class Honours graduate in English Literature from the University of Edinburgh, with a Distinction in an MSc in Creative Writing. I offer focused, supportive tutoring designed to help students improve their essay writing, close reading, and exam technique, while also building confidence in how they approach texts.

I have experience teaching English in China and Kenya, working with students of different ages and abilities. This has helped me develop a patient, adaptable teaching style, where lessons are shaped around the individual student’s needs and goals.

My sessions are structured but flexible. We can work on set texts, exam preparation, essay planning, or general skills such as analysis and written expression. I break down complex ideas into clear, manageable steps and focus on helping students understand not just what to write, but how to think about texts more clearly.
