My lessons will be tailored to each individual student and their specific needs. I’ll begin by discussing what the student is finding challenging and use this to shape the focus and teaching methods of each lesson.

Depending on the student’s goals, lessons may include essay planning and writing, detailed essay marking and feedback, exemplar essays, spider diagrams and other revision techniques, as well as contextual work to help develop a deeper understanding of the subject. I can also set work to complete outside of lessons for students who would like additional practice.

My aim is to make lessons engaging, supportive and interactive, while giving students practical skills and confidence that they can apply independently.

I believe that every student is unique and therefore requires an individualised approach to learning. By building a strong and trusting relationship with each student, I can better understand their needs and learning style, allowing me to support them in achieving their goals.

I strive to create a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and developing their own ideas, while celebrating their progress and achievements.
