I love English literature, and whether you're studying for a specific exam or just want to broaden your knowledge, I can teach you what you need to know and I can make it fun.

I've taught English literature at primary school, GCSE, A Level and university level, privately and in big classes, so I'm used to adapting to what learners need.

We'll work together on specific books or poems, and when we're finished you'll not only understand the material but you'll have all the tools you need to analyse any piece of literature.

If you're looking to study literature for fun, I can design a course that will cover the time periods, styles or individual authors that you're most interested in.

If you're studying for an exam, we'll read the set texts carefully, then work through past papers so you'll know exactly what to expect on the day. I'll also show you how to plan your time to make sure you answer everything thoroughly.

And if English is not your mother tongue, I can help you improve your language skills with books and stories suited to your fluency level. This is a great way to learn English!

I have three literature degrees, and am a published writer and essayist, so the written word is very important to me. I'm confident that I can meet your learning needs, and give you tools that you can use to analyse any book, story, poem or even movie. And I can make the whole thing enjoyable!
