British English Teacher | 9 Years’ Experience | Fun, Personalised Online Lessons

Hi! I'm Steff, a British English teacher with 9 years of experience teaching English and over 10 years of teaching experience overall.

I have a Bachelor’s degree in Education and have taught students of all ages, from very young children through to adults. My experience includes general English, conversation, business English, children's English and helping students who need a little more support or a different approach to learning.

I really enjoy working with children and making English something they can actually enjoy using, rather than just another subject they have to study. I like using games, stories, activities and topics that match the child's interests, while still making sure they are building useful English skills.

I also have experience teaching children with different learning needs, including ADHD and autism, and I try to adapt my lessons to the individual student rather than expecting every learner to work in exactly the same way.

For younger learners, I can also offer access to optional STEM/STEAM activities through my own teaching platform, Clear Sky English. These activities combine English with things like science, animals, nature, creativity and problem-solving, giving children another way to use their English while learning about something interesting.

For older students and adults, lessons can be focused on conversation, confidence, pronunciation, writing, business English or whatever areas you particularly want to improve.

My university education included modules in Methodology of Foreign Language Teaching, English for Children, and Language Teaching, Learning & Creativity, and I have continued developing my teaching materials and methods throughout my career.

I currently teach online from Japan, so I have particularly good availability for students in the UK who are looking for early morning lessons. I can generally offer UK morning sessions from early morning until around 1pm, depending on my teaching schedule.
