My lessons are designed to meet the needs of each student, whether you are a complete beginner or an advanced player seeking to refine your skills and expand your musical expression. I focus on developing solid technique, hand and foot coordination, timekeeping and inner clock, stylistically relevant vocabulary, sight-reading, effective practice routines, and soloing.

Every lesson is structured to combine practical application with creative exploration, ensuring that you can immediately apply what you learn to your playing. Lessons are one hour in duration and include all necessary materials, along with tailored practice strategies to help you overcome challenges and achieve measurable progress.

I hold a Master’s degree in Drums and Percussion and have over 20 years of experience as a Lead Lecturer in higher education, I have mentored over a thousand students, many of whom now perform with major artists, including Simon Tellier (Pet Shop Boys, Jason Derulo), Fabio De Oliveira (George Clinton, Jacob Collier), Rufus Taylor (Queen), Jamie Murray (Robben Ford), Vicky O’Neon (Anastacia) and Naomi Forbes (Paloma Faith).

My approach is hands-on, supportive, and focused on helping you develop confidence, precision, and musicality on the drum kit. Lessons are suitable for students aged 18 and above, from beginners to advanced drummers who want to reach the next level in their technique, creativity, and overall musicianship.
