Advert description
I am a UK-qualified teacher with QTS and a PGCE, a First-Class Geography and Sociology degree, and three years of teaching experience. I was recently Head of Geography, having previously been KS3 Geography Coordinator, and have taught KS3 and GCSE Geography in diverse London schools. I have extensive experience supporting students with SEND, including dyslexia and lower prior attainment. I use clear explanations, questioning, modelling and scaffolding to help students access challenging content while maintaining high expectations. I also ran intervention sessions, including for a student with significant dyslexia who progressed from an expected Grade 5 to achieving a Grade 9 in GCSE Geography. I tailor lessons to each student's needs, focusing on building understanding, confidence, exam technique and independent learning. As a native English speaker, I can also support students learning English as a second language, drawing on my experience teaching English in Northern Thailand.
