Advert description
Hi, I’m Rachana!
I’m an A English Literature student and incoming undergraduate at LSE*, where I’ll be studying Politics and International Relations. I achieved Grade 9s in both GCSE English Literature and English Language, followed by an A in A-Level English Literature*, so I understand first-hand what it takes to achieve the highest grades.
I offer personalised GCSE and A-Level English tutoring, tailored to each student’s individual needs, ability and goals. Whether you’re looking to build confidence, improve your grades or work towards an A/A*, I aim to make English feel clear, engaging and achievable.
My lessons typically last 60 minutes and focus on developing the skills that make the biggest difference in exams, including essay structure, close analysis, developing strong arguments, quotation analysis and exam technique. Rather than simply giving students model answers, I teach them how to develop their own ideas and turn them into well-structured, high-level responses.
Having only recently completed my own GCSEs and A-Levels, I’m familiar with the current demands of English exams and understand how daunting they can sometimes feel. I’m friendly, patient and approachable, and I want students to feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and building their confidence.
My goal is not just to help students memorise content, but to help them think critically, write confidently and genuinely understand how to achieve the grades they’re capable of.
