Advert description
I’m a Film Studies graduate with a Master’s background, offering focused, practical support to students who want to get more confident with film analysis and written work. My strength is helping people break down films in a clear, structured way—whether that’s understanding how a scene works, connecting it to theory, or turning ideas into a strong essay.
I can make complex or abstract feeling concepts within film theory feel manageable and useful. I can help with close analysis (shot choices, editing, sound, performance), as well as bigger-picture topics like genre, authorship, and critical interpretation. If you’re working towards exams or coursework, I also offer guidance on structuring arguments, improving clarity, and writing more convincingly under time pressure.
Alongside academic study, I’ve been involved in making short films in collaborative settings. I try to bring that into sessions so analysis doesn’t feel detached from the actual process of making films. My approach is simple and student-led: focus will be put on the areas you find difficult and work through them together to build confidence and improve grades.
