Experienced Primary Teacher with 8 Years’ Experience, KS2 Leadership and Above-Average Academic Outcomes

Hi, I’m Ryan — an experienced primary school teacher with 8 years of experience working with children across Key Stage 2.

Teaching has always been about more than delivering lessons for me. It’s about getting to know the child behind the learner, understanding what makes them tick and helping them realise what they are capable of.

Throughout my career, I have worked in a variety of primary settings and held leadership responsibilities including Key Stage 2 Lead and Maths Lead. I have also worked in a specialist independent school supporting pupils with autism and social, emotional and mental health needs, giving me extensive experience adapting teaching to meet individual needs.

I have consistently achieved above-national-average KS2 outcomes, but I believe success isn’t measured solely by a test score.

Seeing a child who once said “I can’t do this” begin to say “I’ll have a go” is just as important.

That is why confidence is at the heart of my tutoring.

I want children to feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions and challenging themselves. My lessons are personalised to each child, combining my classroom experience with their individual interests, strengths and areas for development.

Outside of tutoring, I’m still working as a primary school teacher, so my knowledge of the curriculum is current and grounded in day-to-day classroom experience.

My aim is simple: to help children become more confident, more independent and more successful learners — while making learning something they can genuinely enjoy.
