My lessons are structured, engaging and tailored to each child’s individual needs. I use the proven “I do, we do, you do” approach, where I first model a skill, then practise it together with the child, and finally support them to work independently. This helps build confidence and ensures children truly understand before moving on.
Each session focuses on key areas such as phonics, reading, writing and maths, using a mix of games, practical activities and written tasks to keep learning fun and motivating.
I am a qualified teacher with 4 years of qualification and over 5 years of classroom teaching experience. My aim is to create a calm, supportive learning environment where children feel encouraged to try their best and enjoy learning. I carefully assess each child’s starting point and adapt lessons to suit their learning style and pace. Sessions are planned with clear objectives and regular opportunities for praise and positive feedback to build self-esteem and motivation. I use a variety of resources, including visual aids, hands-on activities and short challenges, to keep children engaged and focused throughout the lesson.
I also communicate regularly with parents to share progress and suggest simple activities that can be practised at home to reinforce learning. My experience working with young children has helped me develop a patient and nurturing approach, ensuring every child feels supported and valued.
My goal is not only to improve academic skills, but also to help children develop confidence, independence and a love of learning that will benefit them throughout their education.
