Every child learns differently, so I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach.

My lessons are personalised to your child’s individual needs, strengths and starting point, with activities carefully chosen to help them make meaningful progress.

I aim to create a learning environment where children feel comfortable, supported and confident enough to have a go. For me, confidence comes before competence — when children believe they can succeed, they are far more willing to tackle challenges and learn from mistakes.

Lessons are engaging, purposeful and varied, combining discussion, practical activities, questioning, games and focused teaching rather than simply working through endless worksheets.

As an experienced primary school teacher, I have a strong understanding of the Primary National Curriculum and the expectations at each stage of primary education. I can identify gaps in understanding, build on existing knowledge and adapt my teaching as your child progresses.

Most importantly, I want children to leave each lesson thinking:

“I can do this.”

Because tutoring should be about more than improving a score — it should help children become more confident, independent and enthusiastic learners.
