Supportive & Engaging Tutor – SEN Experienced, Confidence-Focused Learning

I am a fully qualified teacher with 20 years of experience working with children aged 4–14. For the past 6 years, I have also worked as a tutor, focusing on making learning engaging, enjoyable, and confidence-building.

I support children in developing their skills in spelling, reading, writing, maths, times tables, SATs prep and phonics, while also helping to build their self-confidence and independence as learners. I am experienced in helping children make clear and measurable progress.

I have worked extensively with children with a range of additional needs, including dyslexia, ADHD and autism. I adapt my teaching approach to suit each child’s individual needs.

My sessions are designed to be fun, engaging, and tailored to each child. I use games and interactive activities, build on children’s interests, and incorporate rewards and regular brain breaks to keep them motivated. I place a strong emphasis on building positive relationships with my students, helping them feel comfortable, supported, and ready to learn.
