Hi, my name is Daria (she/her). I am an experienced tutor and an award-winning visual artist who will help you develop your artistic voice, learn techniques, use art as a therapeutic tool and prepare an application. Whether you're just embarking on your artistic journey, or are a long-term practitioner, I provide support, guidance and tools for you to reach your artistic goals or develop your passion project.
I am the right person if you need:
resources and guidance on learning about art, photography and it's techniques
portfolio review and mentoring, guidance on planning and finishing your project
to apply for an art/photography degree, or a degree abroad
to find your artistic voice
guidance in preparing your publication, including photobooks and zines
to use visual art for self-therapy
to prepare to work as a freelancer
guidance in art research, or art-science research practice
I have experience working for a large photography festival, I lead narration in photography workshops, I give portfolio reviews, I work as a photobook editor, have been teaching and tutoring for years, as well as I've supported people with disabilities in learning.
I am an exhibited, published and award-winning visual artist. I have studied internationally, I completed a BA in Journalism, Ba in Film, Television and Photographic Art and New Media, completing MA in Creative Photography, completed additional in-person courses and mentorship programs in photography (2 years).
Additionally, I have completed a MSc Experimental Psychology and a postgraduate course in Psychotraumatology and I'm interested in using art as a tool for self-therapy.
I am committed to providing a safe space for being and expression. Everyone is welcome without exceptions, including people identifying as LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, disabled and neurodivergent. I am a queer AuDHD woman.
