Lessons are held one-on-one, tailored to your goals and pace. We'll agree on a frequency that fits your project/learning timeline—whether that's weekly check-ins, a more intensive run-up to a deadline (application, exhibition, or publication), or maybe you need a once-monthly mentoring.
Structure
Every session is shaped around where you are in your project/journey, but generally includes:
Check-in and review—looking at what you've made since our last session, discussing what worked and what didn't
Focused teaching or critique—technique instruction, portfolio review, narrative and sequencing feedback, or research guidance depending on your current stage
Hands-on work or discussion—working through a specific problem together, whether that's a technical skill, an editing decision, or finding language for your artist statement
Next steps—clear, achievable goals to work on before we meet again
