History tutor providing lessons to Secondary, GCSE & A Level students, Adults

I teach general history across a wide range of periods, from ancient civilisations to modern political and social developments. My lessons focus on helping students understand not just what happened, but why events unfolded as they did and how historical ideas, conflicts, and decisions shaped the world we live in today.

Lessons are clear, structured, and discussion-based. I begin by explaining the historical context of a topic, then guide students through key events, figures, and sources so they can see the bigger picture. Rather than relying only on memorisation, students learn how to analyse evidence, understand cause and consequence, and recognise how different interpretations of history develop.

Sessions are adapted to the student’s needs, whether the goal is improving grades, preparing for exams, or developing a deeper interest in the subject. My aim is to make history engaging, accessible, and intellectually stimulating while building the analytical skills and confidence students need to succeed academically.
