I have worked as a litigation lawyer for eight years and previously lectured company law students. I would listen to them and look at the subjects they are covering. We would discuss grades and areas of strength and areas that need some work. I would formulate a plan of action and get their agreement on it before we proceed. I would check in on their understanding of the areas as we go along. Assessment would also be used as would coursework to determine areas that required strengthening. I would introduce incentives to meet goals and use praise as we progressed.
