I hold a BA (Hons) in English Language and Linguistics from Kwara State University, where I developed an in-depth knowledge of English grammar, phonetics, phonology, discourse analysis, academic writing, vocabulary and communication theory. I am also currently pursuing an MRes in Leadership and Management at the University of Derby, which further demonstrates my commitment to continuous learning, academic discipline and professional development at postgraduate level.
This academic foundation, combined with over two years of hands-on teaching experience, makes me a highly knowledgeable and effective English tutor for students at any level.
During my NYSC placement at Nunya Community High School, I planned and delivered structured English lessons to secondary school students, provided dedicated one-to-one and small group support to learners of varying abilities, and designed engaging resources to help students improve their reading comprehension, written expression, vocabulary and verbal communication. I also supported students with examination preparation, helping them build both their skills and their confidence ahead of assessments.
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Kwara State University, I co-delivered undergraduate English and Linguistics lectures, mentored students on a one-to-one basis and assessed written assignments with detailed constructive feedback.
