Friendly Queen’s student making Maths and English less intimidating for primary and secondary pupils in Belfast and online.

I’m a final-year Business Management student at Queen’s University Belfast with previous experience supporting children aged 6–9 at a homework club. I offer Maths and English support for primary and early secondary pupils. My approach is patient, encouraging and tailored to each student. I first identify what they understand and where they are struggling, then break difficult topics into smaller, manageable steps using examples and practice questions. I want students to understand why an answer works rather than simply memorising it. I also believe children learn best when they feel comfortable making mistakes and asking questions, so I aim to keep lessons relaxed, positive and engaging while still working towards clear academic goals. I can help with homework, revision, building core Maths and English skills, and developing confidence in the classroom.
