Luke Devlin

Hi, I’m Luke—a recent graduate in Applied Mathematics and Physics from Queen’s University Belfast. I offer tutoring in maths and physics, and my goal is to help students build confidence, develop problem-solving skills, and truly understand the subject rather than memorising answers.

My lessons are tailored to each student’s needs. I always begin by identifying where a student feels stuck or unsure, and then build lessons around those areas. I focus on guiding students through problems step by step, helping them grasp both the "how" and the "why" behind each topic.

Lessons are one-to-one, either online or in person, and usually last around 60 minutes. I use visual aids, shared documents, and interactive tools to make explanations as clear as possible. I also provide follow-up exercises where useful, to reinforce key concepts and improve retention.

I have experience tutoring GCSE maths, particularly supporting students who were struggling with confidence and exam technique. I also teach guitar, which has helped me adapt my teaching style to suit different learners. I create a relaxed, open environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning from mistakes.
