I teach A-level and GCSE Chemistry using a clear three-stage approach: learn the content properly from the foundations, apply it to exam questions, and repeat it strategically until it stays in your memory.

One of the biggest difficulties in Chemistry is that small gaps in basic knowledge make later topics increasingly confusing. I therefore explain each topic in detail from the beginning, without assuming that the student already understands the foundations. We establish exactly what is happening, why it happens and what the student needs to know.

Understanding the lesson, however, is only the first step. Many students understand their notes but struggle when they face an unfamiliar exam question. After teaching each concept, I work through relevant questions with the student, show them how to recognise what is being tested and help them understand precisely where marks are gained or lost.

Repetition is another essential part of my approach. I help students decide what to revisit, when to revisit it and which questions to repeat. I remain closely involved in this process, returning to weaker areas until the knowledge becomes secure and the student can apply it independently.

I have experience supporting students with ADHD, autism, dyslexia and other learning difficulties. My academic background includes a degree in Dentistry and an Access to Higher Education Diploma in Medicine with all 45 graded credits at Distinction.

The first one-hour online lesson is completely free. After that, lessons are available online or in person at the student’s home across London.
