Advert description
My online English lessons are shaped by the strong foundation I built during my primary teacher training, which I recently completed. Working across KS1 and KS2 has given me a clear understanding of how children develop their English skills from the very beginning, and this directly informs how I teach online. I can support learners at foundation level through phonics, early reading strategies, blending, segmenting and building confidence with simple sentences. For learners who are new to English, I offer EAL support focused on vocabulary building, pronunciation, everyday communication and structured grammar practice. My training taught me how to break learning down into clear, manageable steps, and I use this approach to help learners progress at a pace that feels achievable and encouraging.
For older learners or those wanting to deepen their understanding, I teach English literature, exploring a range of texts, themes, characters and writing styles. I also support students in developing their descriptive writing, focusing on vocabulary choice, sentence variety, figurative language and structuring ideas effectively. My teacher training strengthened my ability to model writing, scaffold ideas and provide personalised feedback, which translates seamlessly into my online lessons. Whether a learner needs help analysing poetry, understanding a novel, improving their creative writing or strengthening their academic skills, my sessions offer clear explanations, structured guidance and engaging activities that build confidence and enjoyment in English.
