I like to keep lessons relaxed and interactive rather than making them feel like another hour of school. Before we start, I will usually have a chat with you about what you are hoping to improve, whether that is GCSE English, essay writing, speaking confidently in English, grammar, or just feeling more comfortable using the language day to day.

Because every student is different, I tend not to follow a strict lesson structure. If you are studying for exams, we will focus on the areas you find most challenging and work through questions together. If you are learning English as a language, we may spend more time on conversation, vocabulary, pronunciation, and building confidence. I will adapt lessons as we go depending on what works best for you!

Although I am new to formal tutoring, I have always enjoyed helping friends and classmates with English throughout school, particularly with essays and exam preparation. Having recently completed GCSEs and the IB myself, I understand the challenges students face and can explain concepts in a way that feels approachable and easy to follow.

My aim is for lessons to feel productive without being stressful. I want students to leave each session feeling more confident than when they arrived, whether that is confidence in their writing, speaking, or understanding of English as a whole.
