Advert description
Hi! I am currently studying Law at King's College London and achieved a score of 29 in the LNAT, placing me significantly above the national average and among the stronger applicants to competitive law schools. Through both my studies and admissions experience, I have developed strong critical reading and essay-writing skills, which are exactly the areas I enjoy helping students improve.
I also have a strong background in English, particularly when it comes to academic writing and building clear arguments. Having completed both the IGCSE and IB programmes, I understand the challenges of essay-based subjects and what examiners are looking for in high-scoring work.
My tutoring style is relaxed and tailored to the individual student. I like to identify what someone is finding difficult and explain it in a way that makes sense to them. Rather than simply going through content, I focus on helping students understand why something works so that they can apply it confidently on their own. I often use practice questions throughout lessons because I find that students make the most progress when they are actively engaging with the material.
Most lessons are around 60 minutes long, although I am happy to adapt them depending on a student's goals. If we are preparing for an exam, we would spend more time working on technique and tackling questions under timed conditions. If a student wants to strengthen their overall skills, we would focus on building a solid understanding first and then gradually increasing the level of challenge.
Because my own university applications were fairly recent, I have a good understanding of the challenges students face when preparing personal statements, sitting admissions tests, and deciding how to present themselves to universities. I can offer practical guidance throughout the process and share the approaches that helped me secure a place at King's College London. My lessons are mainly aimed at GCSE and A-Level students, as well as sixth form students applying to university. I particularly enjoy helping with English, LNAT preparation, personal statements, and essay writing.
My goal is simple, I want to help students feel more confident in their abilities and leave each lesson feeling that they understand the topic a little better than they did before.
