Xinrui Wang

Hello! My name is Xinrui (Ray), and I am currently studying for an MSc in Mental Health: Psychological Therapies at Queen Mary University of London. Before moving to the UK, I completed a Bachelor of Medicine in Psychiatry in China. As a native Mandarin Chinese speaker, I enjoy helping others learn and gain confidence in a supportive environment.

My lessons are adapted to each student's goals and learning pace. Depending on your needs, I can provide support with Mandarin Chinese, homework and study skills, or beginner piano. Chinese lessons can focus on speaking, listening, reading, writing, pronunciation and vocabulary building, while piano lessons focus on building strong foundations in note reading, rhythm, basic music theory and simple pieces.

I believe learning should be both practical and enjoyable, so I try to create a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and trying new things. Having studied and lived in different cultural environments, I understand that everyone learns differently. I focus on clear explanations, regular practice and building confidence step by step. Lessons can be delivered online or in person in London.

Whether your goal is to improve your Chinese, gain extra support with schoolwork, start learning the piano, or simply practise conversational English, I will do my best to help you make steady progress and enjoy the learning process.
