Sophie Suo

As a native Mandarin speaker with 12 years of formal schooling in China, I support learners of all ages in Chinese as a second language. I offer clear help with homework, quiz revision, and presentation practice, so students build skills, using real examples from everyday study and life tasks. I can teach with any textbook or module and cover linguistics basics, culture, society, and literature, giving precise explanations in Chinese. For complete beginners I build structured lessons from the ground up.

I also bring an academic background: I was a straight-A IGCSE and A Level student and I am now in my third year studying Philosophy and Economics. Because I have prepared for exams myself, I understand how different subjects require different strategies. Alongside Chinese/Mandarin, I tutor GCSE Mathematics, Physics, Economics, and English Language, focusing on clear step-by-step methods, worked examples, and exam technique and mocks.

Beyond the classroom, I share my passion for Chinese calligraphy and traditional arts. With over ten years of practice and a deep interest in painting and cultural heritage, I offer extracurricular sessions on art and culture that make learning memorable and inspiring.
