I teach A Level History, Classical Civilisation, Latin, and Politics, as well as Latin, Classical Civilisation, History, Ancient Greek, and English up to GCSE.
I specialise in supporting students who feel overwhelmed, have lost confidence, or are not thriving in a traditional classroom setting. Many of the students I work with understand the content but struggle to apply it effectively in essays and exams.
My lessons focus on building clear understanding alongside developing the skills needed for assessment. I break things down into manageable steps, helping students learn how to structure answers, use their knowledge effectively, and approach exams with more confidence.
I place a strong emphasis on supporting the individual student, including those with ADHD, anxiety, dyslexia, or other learning differences. I have a teaching qualification in Special Educational Needs and aim to help students develop both academic skills and strategies they can carry forward into university or further training.
I have over 10 years’ experience working with a wide range of students, from those who are struggling to regain confidence through to Oxbridge applicants. My approach is calm, patient, and tailored to each individual. Lessons are focused, but also supportive and encouraging, helping students feel more capable and less overwhelmed.
Above all, I believe every student can make progress with the right support, and I work to help each individual reach their potential.
