I am a French national and I have been teaching for almost 25 years in the UK. I am a fully qualified and experienced teacher, I have worked as a private tutor as well as in schools. I teach GCSE, IB and DELF as well as A level French. I also work with adults who want to develop their conversational French for travelling to French-speaking countries, and with professionals or businesses seeking French language support while expanding their market in France.
I am passionate about teaching languages and having worked with so many students I know how daunting a French exam can be. I am here to help overcome any difficulties in preparing for these exams, either on the grammar side of French, the exam techniques or the practice of the language itself.
I bring with me both the true knowledge of French, its colloquialisms and turns of phrase and a sound understanding of exam techniques which allows me to prepare my students optimise their ability.
I offer a professional, and worthy back up to anyone seeking to develop their French skills.
My lessons offer a personalised and targeted focus and for each student individually which, in turn, aims to make the greatest impact for them on different aspects such as pronunciation, grammar, clarity and spontaneity in speaking, vocabulary, revision of particular topics, listening or writing skills and ultimately the confidence to use the language beyond the classroom.
For adult learners, my sessions can centre on useful conversation and the language needed for real travel situations. For professional learners, I provide support with French relevant to their work and business aims.
