- Guided practice using exam-style questions
- Support with how to structure answers and pick up marks
- A short summary and optional follow-up practice
I focus heavily on exam technique, showing students how to “play the exam game” and understand what examiners are really looking for. I use real past-paper questions and mark schemes so students learn how to apply their knowledge effectively in exams, not just memorise content.
My teaching style is friendly and approachable. No question is ever too small. I know first-hand how confusing STEM subjects can feel, and I’ve spent a lot of time teaching myself these topics from scratch. Because of this, I’m patient and happy to explain things in different ways until they make sense.
Overall, my aim is to help students build confidence, resilience, and strong understanding, so they feel calm, prepared, and capable going into their exams.
