Advert description
I’m a first-year Chemistry undergraduate at Durham University, offering GCSE Chemistry tutoring hoping to make STEM subjects accessible and high-scoring for my students. I achieved a grade 9 in GCSE Chemistry (91%) and an A* in A-Level Chemistry (88%). Overall, I earned 5 A*s at A-Level in Chemistry, Maths, Physics, Biology, and an EPQ, and 9 grade 9s and 2 grade 8s at GCSE.
I tailor each lesson to my students' difficulties whether these are to do with knowledge gaps, academic confidence or struggles with exam technique. During my lessons, I walk my students through topics while doing practice questions ensuring they can understand the knowledge and apply it effectively to answer exam questions.
I help students tackle exams with confidence, showing them how to “play the exam game” and pick up marks efficiently. I love breaking down tricky concepts into simple, easy-to-understand steps, so learning feels less stressful and more manageable.
I’m friendly and approachable, so no question is ever too small. I’ve been confused by subjects myself, and I’ve spent a lot of time teaching myself these topics from scratch. My lessons are designed to build confidence, resilience, and understanding, so students feel capable and ready for any challenge.
