I have been a teacher of English and a classroom practitioner for over 15 years; however, I have been tutoring for a year now and predominantly use Zoom to conduct my online sessions; I communicate through email, and send worksheets and other lesson documents before the scheduled sessions. I also correspond through email and mark homework, essays and other such work accordingly - I follow up with written and oral feedback weekly.

I can fine-tune the lessons according to the student's desired areas of improvement; this can be general skills such as grammar accuracy, proofreading, comprehension and essay composition, or more focused skills, such as close textual criticism, poetry analysis and Shakespeare studies, for example. I can prepare A-Level and GCSE students for both set text and unseen sections of examinations too.
