Stephen Mensah

Hi, I'm Stephen, BSc Physics graduate from Imperial College London, now an Actuarial Graduate at Lloyd's.

I'm keen on sharing my knowledge, expertise, tips and life advice which allowed me to achieve A*A*A*AA at A-level whilst keeping a good work-life balance.

With over two years of tutoring experience, I have taught dozens of students in Mathematics and Physics across all levels, from KS1 to KS5. I take pride in helping students build their confidence, strengthen their understanding, and achieve their academic goals, including securing places at their desired institutions.

My proudest achievement as a tutor was helping a Physics student achieve an A*, enabling him to meet his offer from the University of Oxford. I am passionate about helping every student reach their full potential through tailored, engaging lessons that cater to their individual needs and learning styles.

My duties vary from preparing and deliver lessons tailored to their curriculum and weaknesses, to assign self-made homework and revision resources, and provide explanation of the exercises assigned to them. I also ensure to keep in contact with the student’s parents/relatives, informing them of their child’s performance, any concerns or praises about the student on my side, and answer any queries they may have.

My lessons combine clear explanations, targeted practice and exam-focused techniques. I'll also provide personalised homework and exercise packs, complete with mark schemes and numerical answers, so you can practise independently, monitor your progress and build confidence in tackling exam questions.

I understand that everyone learns at their own pace, so I'll adapt my teaching accordingly, ensuring we focus on what matters most to you. My goal is to make even the most challenging concepts accessible, help you develop effective revision habits, and equip you with the skills to approach examinations with confidence.
