I’m a former quantitative analyst with 20 years of experience in global banking, specialising in mathematical modelling, problem-solving, and clear communication of complex ideas. I graduated from Kyoto University, one of Japan’s top universities, and began my career by passing Japan’s 1st Class National Civil Service Examination, a highly competitive national exam.

Across my career, I’ve worked in London and Tokyo using mathematics every day to analyse data, and solve high-stakes problems for major financial institutions. Now, I bring that same clarity, patience, and structured thinking to my tutoring.

Before becoming a tutor, I worked as a quantitative analyst and technologist at global banks called bulge bracket banks. I built pricing models, solved complex mathematical problems, and led analytical teams across London, New York, and Tokyo. This experience allows me to bring a practical, real-world perspective to mathematical thinking.
