I am a parent of two young boys, that have taught me greater patience than any career or educational endeavour to date. I am incredibly passionate about literature and learning.

Having completed a PhD in English Language and Literature, I have extensive experience in critical analysis and academic writing. I have successfully completed professional training in proofreading academic theses and dissertations with the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading (CIEP). I also have some experience reviewing and supporting academic writing through peer review work.

I am particularly interested in helping learners improve their confidence in critical thinking and writing. My academic background in English Literature, combined with over a decade in senior operational and compliance roles, has given me a strong ability to explain complex ideas clearly, structure information effectively, and adapt communication to different audiences.

My teaching approach is patient, structured, and discussion-based, with a strong focus on clarity, critical thinking, and overall understanding.

I bring a calm, supportive, and detail-oriented style to online teaching, and I am comfortable working with learners from a wide range of cultural and linguistic backgrounds.

I am confident working in online environments and am comfortable using digital platforms to deliver engaging, structured, and supportive lessons tailored to individual learner needs.
