My lessons are structured, interactive and tailored to each student. A typical session begins with a quick check-in on how you are feeling about the topic and a short review of homework or previous questions. We then agree on a clear goal for the lesson (for example, understanding equilibria or improving six-mark questions), so you always know what we are working towards. I use a mix of concise explanations, step-by-step worked examples and lots of guided practice, with you talking through your thinking while I support and correct when needed. For GCSE and A-level, I regularly use past paper questions from your exam board and show you how examiners think, so you build both understanding and exam technique. Lessons are online, using a shared screen and digital whiteboard so we can annotate diagrams, highlight key ideas and build summary notes you can keep. I encourage questions at every stage and I adapt the pace depending on how confident you feel, going back to basics whenever necessary. My experience as a PhD-trained chemist and postdoctoral researcher means I am used to breaking down complex scientific ideas into simple, memorable steps, and I bring this approach to every lesson to help you gain confidence and see real progress over time.
