About me

I'm a first-year Engineering student at the University of Nottingham, and maths has consistently been my favourite subject (9 at GCSE, A at A-Level, A in AS Further Maths). I use it constantly in my degree now, so I know it's more than numbers on a page, and once it clicks, it can be fun.

How lessons work?

We meet online, one-to-one, for about an hour. I'll usually check in first on what's a bit wobbly, so we're not wasting time on things you've already confident with. Then we work through problems together on a shared whiteboard. I'll show you the method, we'll do them together until you get the hang of it, then you can try on your own while I'm here to help if you're struggling.

It is important to keep it interactive rather than me just talking at you. I find you learn best by doing!

I am patient, judgement free, and I am happy to slow down or go back over something instead of rushing to "finish the topic." I want you to actually get it and feel your confidence grow as you develop your understanding! If you have any questions, feel free to ask me as it is important to me that you feel comfortable.

I have experience tutoring younger secondary school and primary school children as I was a support assistant at Kip McGrath. I have also volunteered at "clinic" while I was in Sixth Form in order to help other students.

I hope to see you soon. :)
