My photography lessons are built around creativity, curiosity, and the power of visual storytelling. I teach students to look beyond the technical settings and explore the ideas, emotions, and meanings that sit behind an image. Photography becomes more than a skill — it becomes a language for expressing how you see the world.

Recently completed PGCE training specialising in Creative Arts Education (Photography), I taught Level 3 Photography at Oldham College, where I supported learners in developing thoughtful, concept-driven work. My background in documentary photography shapes my teaching: I encourage students to notice small details, observe people and places with intention, and create images that carry mood, narrative, and personal voice.

Lessons often begin with a creative prompt or theme — identity, memory, space, culture, light, or emotion — followed by guided exploration, shooting tasks, and reflective discussion. I help students experiment with composition, lighting, and editing in ways that support their ideas rather than overshadow them. Every session includes supportive critique, where we unpack what the image communicates and how it could evolve.

I work with beginners, hobbyists, and aspiring professionals, adapting my teaching for SEND and EAL learners to ensure everyone can access creative expression. Students describe my lessons as inspiring, calm, and confidence-building. My aim is to help you develop not just technical skill, but a personal photographic voice — producing images that feel intentional, meaningful, and uniquely yours.
