Shalini Mehta

I am an experienced Biology educator and a Cambridge Examiner with over 17 years of teaching experience, specializing in Cambridge IGCSE, Cambridge AS & A Level, IB Biology, and AP Biology. I am a Registered Cambridge Assessment Specialist and hold a Master’s degree in Biology from Delhi University, where I was a Gold Medalist, along with a CSIR-NET qualification in Life Sciences.

Over the years, I have taught students across diverse international curricula and age groups, helping them develop not only a strong conceptual understanding of Biology but also the analytical, application, and examination skills required to excel in international examinations. My teaching approach focuses on making complex biological concepts clear, structured, and relatable while encouraging students to think scientifically rather than simply memorise content.

In addition to teaching, I have extensive experience in curriculum development, academic content creation, assessment, and educational consulting. I have developed Cambridge IGCSE Biology curriculum and multimedia learning resources for international education platforms and have contributed to projects involving organisations such as Edumatics corporation, and Kunskapsskolan.

I am particularly passionate about helping students master challenging areas of Biology and preparing them to approach examinations with confidence and precision.

My teaching philosophy is simple: understanding comes first, and examination success follows from genuine understanding.
