Seth Harris

I have lots of experience working with students as I have done lots of work experience in schools and currently tutoring someone GSCE History and RS. I have a very calm, patient and understanding person who is very adaptable to a students needs to get the best out of them to push them to the max to get the best grades they can get or get the results they desire. I will focus on getting to know the strengths and the weaknesses of the students and then supporting the students with the weaknesses while making sure their strengths get stronger. I will also work on exam techniques with the students to give them exam techniques that I have learnt and helped me achieve high grades. I will look to make my lessons engaging and entertaining making it feel easy to interact and get the most out of lessons so they feel like they have actually achieved something instead of sitting back passively listening to a teacher or me talk for an hour. I have very good subject knowledge around World War Two, Weimar Germany, Nazi Germany, the Tudors, medicine through time, the Cold War, King Richard and King John, and the Wild West. I also have extensive political knowledge as I took Politics A level which in my experience enhanced my understanding in these subject areas so I can use my politics a level to enhance students understanding of these topics so they have detailed knowledge and better context to make their answers impress examiners.
